Location & Proposed Site

The institute will be based near the city of Narowal, the historical and rich home to multiple regional faith communities including Muslims, Sikhs (Kartarpur) and Hindus. The proposed site for the institute will uniquely feature spaces for conferences and learning, group discussions and activities, and residential facilities. The proposed site will also give home to the four proposed centres, including an exhibition space for the peace memorial centre that will publicly display and memorialise the events and experience within Pakistan and beyond, in the context of building resilience against challenges of religious extremism.

The initial cost of developing the institute is estimated at PKR 1.2 billion (US$ 7.2million).
